The Joy nodded in quiet understanding as Jack admitted he would like to fight the Ocelot Major when he'd improved. Honestly, she felt similar about Snake. When she had first found him, she had somehow known that if anyone would ever surpass her, it would be him.
Voyevoda had been looking forward to that day since she had started teaching Snake, and she was beginning to think that she wouldn't have to wait too much longer.
"It's natural to desire a challenge." Most people, however, assumed that if they could defeat a person once, they could always do so.
"And you're right about Major Ocelot." He would become a much better soldier, she was sure of that.
The Mess hall was mostly empty when they arrived, still too early for most to be eating lunch.
