"Eh..." Volgin managed.

He didn't feel much better. He didn't want to think about how bad he must have looked, before.

Volgin cracked open his eyes and peered at Ocelot, but his vision was still blurry, and it nauseated him a little to try to focus.

Still, he felt glad for Ocelot's presence. A small, steadying beat of normalcy in a world that had suddenly swung upside down.

His throat felt raw, but he forced the words out nonetheless, pausing in between each sentence to rest.

"How long have I been here...what happened...where's Alexei?"
